‘Spice Up Your Life’

We sent our Social Media Exec to The Stylist Live, hosted by Stylist Magazine at the Business Design Centre, Islington. Featuring an extensive list of inspirational speakers such as Katie Piper, Davina McCall and Nigella Lawson, the event certainly lived up to the hype with catwalks, cocktails and chocolate. Supported by Swarovski for the second year running, we definitely got an insight into the hottest high street AW16 trends.

Starting the show with a Chambord cocktail in hand (delicious by the way), complimentary goodie bag, and a stroll through the endless rows of treats, sweets and more sample cocktails, it’s safe to say we were off to a good start.

The Swarovski fashion show began at 6:30pm, leaving us plenty of time to wander through the pop-up boutiques and pick up all the free food samples. We headed to the beauty area where we were pampered and made-over by Clarins, Lancôme and Liz Earle. Mini testers galore! Urban Decay showcased their latest Naked eye pallets, making us all envy the beautiful models that can pull off gold eyelids Monday – Friday.

Feeling refreshed and beautified, we headed to the main event ‘Spice up your Life’ where high street stores paraded their hottest looks of AW16. ‘Spice’ quite literally mirroring spice colours. Think camel, burgundy, mustard injecting colour into your autumnal wardrobes. Amazing music complimented the diverse range of models who beautifully displayed all clothing. Navy structured jackets are making a comeback, as are metallics and sequins. Just in time for the New Year’s Eve!

Post catwalk, we headed to a cocktail masterclass where expert Frank McGivern Chambord Brand Ambassador, experimented with Chambord (obviously) sherry, prosecco and jam, conjuring up an alcoholic surprise.

All in all, an incredible evening full of fun, fashion and free samples. What more could a girl want?
