HEAD OF DESIGN CHILDRENSWEAR

Lead the creative vision for a leading kidswear well-known brand (0–14 yrs) across the GCC. Drive product design strategy, oversee the end-to-end development process, and ensure collections are commercially viable, on-brand, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities:

Design & Product Strategy: Own seasonal design direction, product architecture, and category innovation. Ensure brand consistency, quality, and alignment with business goals.

Team Leadership: Mentor and inspire a multi-category design team. Set objectives, manage performance, and foster a collaborative, creative studio culture.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Buying, Merchandising, Planning, Sourcing, and Marketing to deliver cohesive, on-time collections.

Market Insight: Analyze consumer behavior, competitors, and industry trends to inform design decisions. Attend trade shows and source new materials and techniques.

Budget & Cost Management: Manage design budgets, sourcing plans, and product costs without compromising quality or aesthetics.
Requirements:

15+ years in kidswear/apparel design (predominantly within a Brand), with 5+ years in a managerial role.

Strong technical knowledge of children’s sizing, trims, fits, fabrics, and garment construction.

Hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and PLM tools.
-
Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple categories, and collaborate cross-functionally.
