A wonderful opportunity to join a global sourcing company’s London office as a License Graphic Designer – Ladieswear.
Role & Accountabilities
- Use license assets to create new designs for high street retailers.
- Creating cads on Adobe both vector and model shots.
- Creating tech packs for factory samples.
- Evaluating samples and adapting designs from lessons learnt.
- Work to retailer critical paths.
- Trend research.
- Comp shopping.
- Liaising with non-license team on shape & fabric development.
- Attend Buyer meetings.
- Liaise with global sourcing offices
- Design admin (filing designs etc).
- Requesting license assets from licensors.
- Submitting licensed cads and samples for concept approval.
KEY SKILLS
- Ability to plan own work and prioritise.
- Admin skills.
- Eye for trend.
- Knowledge of license requirements & restrictions.
- Ability to juggle different retail accounts.
The Candidate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience (min 1 year should be ladies licensing)
- Sound understanding of print techniques.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Energetic & resilient.
- Ability to organise & prioritise workload based on the needs of the critical path.
- Advanced Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator skills.
- Ability to liaise with buyers in a professional manner.
- Attention to detail ensuring cads are right first time.
- Research seasonal style and graphic trends and create specific commercial ranges for the customer.
- Basic understanding of garment construction.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to take ownership and resolve problems.
