Ladieswear Designer – Soft Woven.

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Ladieswear Multiproduct Soft Woven Designer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with major supermarkets and high-volume retailers, bringing your commercial eye for fashion and innovative design to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to create seasonal mood and trend boards that inspire the brand’s collections.
  • Design seasonal capsule collections, focusing on key silhouettes, colour palettes, and fabric directions.
  • Research and source new design ideas, fabrics, and trims to keep our offerings fresh and relevant.
  • Develop commercial, fashion-forward products tailored to client needs and market trends.
  • Attend fabric fairs and embark on inspirational shopping trips to discover new design possibilities.
  • Participate in regular design meetings with the Sales Manager and customer buying/design teams, fostering strong relationships and open communication.

Ideal Candidate: 

  • Proven background in supplier management and relationship building.
  • Strong expertise in Ladieswear Woven/Soft separates, with a focus on woven bottoms highly desirable.
  • Excellent CAD skills, with proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit and a keen commercial acumen.
  • Confident and articulate in customer meetings, demonstrating a strong understanding of on-trend fashion.
  • Experience managing junior members of the team.
