In Store Trainer – Beauty Brand – West London

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate In-Store Trainer to join a growing natural beauty and wellness retailer as it expands into the UK market. The In-Store Trainer will act as a true ambassador on the shop floor, leading from the front and shaping a strong culture of learning, performance, and customer connection.

As an In-Store Trainer, your primary mission will be to be a hands-on leader in store, developing people and embedding a customer-first approach through practical coaching and engaging training strategies. You will bring the brand philosophy to life through workshops, storytelling, and community engagement, while directly mentoring store teams to drive excellence in service and results.


Strategy & Implementation

The In-Store Trainer will:

  • Create and execute in-store training strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Analyse store performance and team capabilities, identifying skill gaps and implementing immediate coaching plans on the shop floor.

  • Partner with Store Managers and Head Office training teams to ensure alignment on priorities and consistent execution.


Integration of New Employees

A key responsibility of the In-Store Trainer will be overseeing the onboarding and integration of new team members. This includes:

  • Delivering first-week training side-by-side on the shop floor.

  • Conducting regular check-ins during the first 90 days to ensure confidence, capability, and cultural alignment.

  • Supporting training for new store openings and newly formed teams.


Hands-On Sales Coaching

Spending approximately 80% of the time in store, the In-Store Trainer will:

  • Observe, coach, and model best practices in customer service, consultation, sales, and product knowledge.

  • Translate brand priorities into actionable behaviours.

  • Provide real-time feedback during live customer interactions.

  • Support peak trading periods by leading from the front.

  • Encourage authentic customer storytelling to deepen brand connection.

  • Develop peer coaching structures, guiding top performers to elevate team standards.


Practical Training Design

The In-Store Trainer will design and deliver training content that is immediately applicable to the retail environment, using effective adult learning methods such as coaching, mentoring, and peer learning directly on the shop floor.


Brand & Community Ambassador

This role goes beyond training. The In-Store Trainer will:

  • Host in-store masterclasses and educational workshops for customers.

  • Empower customers through product education and self-care knowledge.

  • Represent the brand at events, community workshops, partnerships, and influencer gatherings.

  • Demonstrate deep product expertise and passion for natural, accessible self-care.

  • Support the creation of authentic social content, including tutorials and educational features, and feel confident appearing on camera.


Monitoring & Reporting

The In-Store Trainer will monitor performance data to measure the impact of training initiatives, track behavioural KPIs linked to service and sales, and report on coaching effectiveness and learner satisfaction. Ensuring completion of internal training programmes and delivering measurable performance improvements will be key to success.


What You’ll Bring

Professional Knowledge:

  • Strong skincare background (essential).

  • Proven experience in team management and hands-on coaching.

  • Mastery of retail fundamentals: welcome, consultation, sales, and loyalty-building.

  • French language skills desirable.
