Head of Operations.

The Role:

I’m looking for a Head of Operations to work in a busy Logistics team, reporting to the Operations Director. The role will work closely with 3^rd party logistics providers, suppliers, the internal buying department, customer services and the French team.

Responsibilities:

• Overall management of our 3^rd party logistics providers
• Generate reporting on 3PL performance against SLA’s
• Generate reporting on customer fulfilment
• Budget creation and cost management
• Forecasting
• Daily, weekly and monthly operational reporting
• Manage packaging requirements and procurement
• Attend weekly meetings with our Buying team to agree priorities
• Work closely with the buying team to effectively onboard new suppliers
• Develop and enhance our reporting on all areas of Logistics and Fulfilment (including for our French market)
• Work with our 3PL’s to improve our stock integrity and reduce short shipping of customer orders
• Work closely with our freight partners and ensure smooth importation and collection of goods from our suppliers
• Work closely with our Customer Service team to resolve any customer issues
• Visit our 3PL on a regular basis to review operational requirements and manage any ongoing issues
• Liaise with our French team to provide support to the French market logistics and supply chain teams.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Advanced understanding of logistics, fulfilment and supply chains
• Excellent Excel and numeracy skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Ability to work as a team player and work towards shared goals
• Ability to speak fluent French will be an advantage
• Carrier selection and management
