Garment Technologist.

My client is a knitwear and woven supplier with a diverse portfolio of clients supplying gorgeous womenswear to many high street and on line brands

They are looking for a garment technologist with  a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar field to join our small team, preferably with knitwear and soft woven experience and who has an understanding of the importance of the critical path and leadtimes and is an excellent communicator not only within a team but also with the factories and customers

you must have a love of product, excellent attention to detail and very strong organisational skills to be able to manage a busy critical path and be a great team player

The role –

• you will be part of the production team and reporting into the Production Director
• you will be managing your own accounts alongside your merchandiser and will be responsible for
• managing the fit of garments from the point of confirmation to delivery
• managing the fit of the garments through the critical path, this includes, checking and measuring all first fit, seal, size set and production samples
• managing fit comments sent from our customers, ensuring all information is clear and sending to the fty’s in a timely manner to sit in with the critical path
• working closely and on a daily basis with all fty bases, China, Turkey, India, Bangladesh and Morrocco to ensure smooth running of orders
• working closely and on a daily basis with our office in Hanghzhou China where our Technical Manager is based
• managing and maintaining the critical path along side your merchandiser
• managing and maintaining our customers in house systems such as Light House
• working closely with your merchandiser to ensure all critical fit dates are met
• running weekly critical path meetings both internally and alongside your merchandiser with our customers
• working closely with not only the production team but also design and sales
• general admin duties
