CVUK’s top ten coffee spots for summer
Whether you’re looking for 8 am coffee or 5 pm beverage, we clubbed together to bring you our summer favourites in London. Meetings with candidates or clients, colleagues or friends, here’s a few select places that we urge you to check out!
Ole & Steen (picture below) – A favourite of CVUK Head of Buying & Merch, Kerry May.
Whether Kerry is looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner, Ole & Steen is definitely on the must list. From bread and pastries, obvs, to salads (when we’re feeling healthy), this Danish Bakery is a great start to any day. We love the coffee, but hey, they sell beer and wine too… bonus points. Another favourite of Kerry’s is Fernandez & Wells. A perfect summer choice, catching the sun during afternoons. If you want to feel like you’re out of London and in a little Oasis, here’s the place to be. Plus, we’re not ones to say no to tapas. Nom.
Head of Digital, Hayley Grossman, chooses Daylesford (picture below) as one of her top spots. Daylesford is all about organic, seasonal and delicious food. A real treat that makes you feel like you’re out of the hustle and bustle of London and in the heart of the country. HAM YARD HOTEL follows a close second. In the midst of Soho and moments from Mayfair, Ham Yard has an urban village feel. If we’re feeling fancy, we’ll treat ourselves to afternoon tea… After all, they were awarded ‘Best Afternoon Tea’ and we can’t say no to that (do we need an excuse?)…
If you’ve already checked out Selfridges Rooftop, we’re sure it’s one of your favourites too. Head of Marketing and PR, Amy Gazdar claims the rooftop as the perfect spot to relish the London summer and dine al fresco below a (hopefully) sunny sky.
All about the Vegan options this Summer? Director of Head Office, Shilpa Mavadia, chooses Popina, close to Oxford Street and Bond Street. Right on our doorstep, if we’re looking for something to nab away, Popina offers a delicious range of well-flavoured salads (because who wants to eat a plain ol’ salad?!)… As it’s Summer and we’re ‘all about the health’, Shilpa chooses another healthy option in Notting Hill. Farm Girl Café (picture below) is cute and quaint, serving fresh and healthy food all day long. Wondering what makes Farm Girl Café a popular option? Just check out their Instagram here… Even the Instagram page will have you drooling!
Last but not least, Retail Director, Anna Griffiths chooses Dayrooms Café in Notting Hill. Anna considers this choice one of the best places for brunch in London, giving you a little taste of Melbourne… And who doesn’t love brunch (coupled with top quality coffee)?
We’d love to hear your top spots, and if you’ve matched any of ours, let us know and maybe we’ll see you there!
