Research, research, research!

There is nothing that looks worse than being unable to answer questions about the company. Nobody is expecting you to know every single detail and every significant date relating to a company, but what they are expecting is for you know important information relating to the role you have applied for. This sounds like an obvious tip but you would be surprised how many people turn up to interviews having done little or no research at all. Research the company’s competitors, who the brand targets itself at and any major dates in the brands history. Don’t just use the company website though, go a little further and find something exciting about the brand that they’re not expecting you to know.
